How do you adopt in FarmVille?
You can only adopt animals in FarmVille if they show up on your news feed. If you have friends on facebook that play FarmVille, this can enable you to have the opportunity to adopt animals if they publish it to the feed. When browsing FarmVille, occasionally a pop up window will come saying an animal has been wondering on their farm and needs a home. If they choose to publish this, it should appear on your news feed where you can then click 'Adopt animal!' (or a button similar to this). However, if someone else takes the adopted animal before you, you cannot not adopt it.
How do you adopt lost animals on FarmVille?
Search your friends' Farmville news feed and look for lost animals that they posted. Click on adopt and if that animal isn't adopted yet, then you will.
