Anti-seize is a lubricating compound that helps prevent metal parts from seizing or sticking together due to corrosion, oxidation, or heat. It is typically applied to threaded connections or gaskets to make disassembly easier.
Buy an oxygen sensor, some antiseize compound, and a sensor wrench. Unplug the wire from the car. Unscrew the old sensor. Put a little antiseize compound only on the sensor threads, Screw it in hand tight plus a half turn more, plug it in and you're done.
A paste compound, usually with nickel included, that can be applied to metal items threaded together so that they can be easily separated after use under high heat conditions.
After you remove the wheel, there will be two large bolts holding the caliper in place, I believe 17mm. Loosen these two, lift & hang caliper, the roto will slide right off. Assemble with antiseize compound if you have any.
First unhook the battery. The oxygen sensor is in the exhaust manifold, so do this when the engine is cold. Disconnect the O2 sensor wire at the connector, screw out the old sensor, dab some antiseize on the threads of the new one and screw it in, then connect the wire and hook the battery up.
The gap should be on your sticker for engine id under the hood.It is .043.You have two plugs with wires and two with coil packs. You need a long socket to make it easier.Otherwise you may have fun getting the plug up out of the hole.So be careful and patient.Put some antiseize etc on the new plugs when you put them in.Slightly snug not over tight.
After the cap screws are removed if the wheel will not come off it is due to a reaction between the aluminum wheel and the iron hub . The only way to remove the wheel at this point is with a large ( sledge ) hammer and a wooden block to protect the wheel. After the wheel is removed clean the two mating surfaces with a wire brush and coat them with an antiseize compound before the wheel is reinstalled. Regards: TG Reaper
With great difficulty. No, seriously, you do them one at a time. Pull off the boot for the plug wire and you'll find the plug inside a hole in the tin. Unscrew the plug with a wrench and remove it. Gap the new one to 0.030", apply antiseize to the threads, screw it in and torque to 25 lb-ft, then put the wire back on. The number-one plug is kinda tricky to get in, but it will go.
The O2 sensor is located at the front right side of car. It is one of the first things you see when you crawl under. It is on the botton of the down tube exhaust for the front part of the engine in the six cylinder. In the four cylnder it is located in the same spot, but towards the rear of the engine. Again it is easily accessible. Remember to put HI-TEMP antiseize on the new one.
