How long would it take a feather to drop ten meters?

That depends on the weight and sise of the feather In a vacuum it would fall as fast as a canon ball. In the atmasphere friction through the air would slow it so sise and weight and shape comes into it.

What is Saturn atmasphere made of?

Saturn's atmosphere is primarily composed of hydrogen and helium, with traces of methane, ammonia, and water vapor. These gases create the vibrant colors and bands seen on the planet's surface, due to the scattering and absorption of sunlight.

How do planets change?

These processes can alter a planet's surface, atmosphere, and composition, affecting its overall appearance and characteristics.

Is there an atmasphere on the moon?

The Moon does not have a significant atmosphere like Earth does. Instead, it has an exosphere made up of very low-density gases. The lack of a substantial atmosphere is due to the Moon's weak gravitational force.

How does the atmasphere help earth?

Our atmosphere helps in a number of ways: 1. It filters out harmful UV rays from the sun that would burn all living things. 2. It creates a blanket that keeps the temperature relatively stable. 3. The atmosphere provides oxygen needed to sustain animal life and carbon dioxide needed to sustain plant life. 4. It provides a mechanism for water to move from the oceans to land - allowing plants and animals to live on land. 5.it makes you feel sooooooooooooo much cuter

Why do space ships become hot when reaching earth's atmasphere?

For a space ship to orbit the Earth it needs to be moving so fast sideways that as it falls towards the Earth the curvature of the Earth falls away below it. The higher the orbit the greater the sideways speed needs to be. Thus when the space ship wants to come back to the earth it is moving very very fast and when it hits the air in the atmosphere the fridtion with the air cause the spaceship to heat up. The process of heating up slows the ships speed - the energy of the speed is turned into heat.
