Brace is a class in dog shows where two dogs are shown together, generally on a brace lead, which is a short leash attachment that connects the two dogs closely together.
Brace (Matched) is for pairs of dogs that are as similar as possible, not necessarily in colour, but in size and shape. They also both have to be bred by the same person, since the purpose is to show consistency in the breeder's lines.
Brace (Unmatched) is also known as Irish Brace, and is for pairs of dogs that are purposely contrasted or opposite. For example, in size, so a Great Dane and a Papillon showing together would be very contrasted.
