The Army at one time wore brown shoes and boots. It was later changed to black shoes and boots. When one is called a brown boot soldier, it means he was an old timer and still has his brown shoes in his closet.
Usually boot camp for the army lasts for a few weeks. After boot camp you get time off before you actually start your service.

There are no National Guard boot camps. Boot camps are administered by the U.S. Army. All army branches train there whether active, Reserve or National Guard. These camps are located throughout the U.S.

Surely the question is asked in jest. The Air Force Boot Camp is easier.
It is highly unlikely that the U.S. Army will take someone who quit while in boot camp. Currently, with only a very few exceptions, the U.S. Army is not accepting reenlistments from soldiers who have left service after fulfilling their enlistment obligation. So, it is highly unlikely the army would accept someone who quit during boot camp, unless they were discharged for humanitarian reasons.
