If you have a medical card to buy marijuana you can smoke it legally.
By MS I'm guessing you're talking about Multiple Sclerosis, marijuana is highly beneficial for people living with MS. I've seen a video somewhere of people with MS before and just after smoking marijuana, it definitely helps the condition.
Marijuana has never been proven by valid, scientific studies (placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind studies) to be either beneficial or harmful for any purpose. That said, many states now have provisions on the books allowing physicians to prescribe medical marijuana to those who they feel can benefit from it. Studies have shown that marijuana use decreases intra-ocular pressure for cataract sufferrers, reduces nausea of cancer patients on chemo, and reduces the neurological pain (different from physically-induced pain) of MS sufferers better than any other addictive, toxic pain medications on the market today (such as OxyContin).
Certain medical research suggests that cannabis suppresses the symptoms and anxiety of ms. This however is not foolproof and does not change the fact that some people; however rarely, may react badly.
hope that helps, also, if you have to, try to find tetrahydrocannabinol tablets, a medicinal form of marijuana instead of actually using weed.
Some people who have MS suffer from "neurological pain," also referred to as "neuropathic pain," which is the brain receiving signals from sensory nerves that didn't actually originate from a "sense". In other words, the nerves are firing, indicating pain, but there is no source of pain. It is only mis-firing nerves.
The active ingredient of cannabis is THC. THC attaches to cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and essentially dampens their responsiveness. This calming of nerve responses alleviates pain caused by MS better than any other drug available on the market today.
Cannabis is a medical drug. It Helps with dozens of ailments, including MS. Although moderation is key to prevent addiction which can lead to happiness...
