"Cc" stands for "carbon copy". Years ago, to make a copy of something one was writing, carbon paper was put in between two or more sheets of paper. (It still is used by many seamstresses to put down printed lines on fabric for accurate cutting.)
For correspondence, it also meant to whom a copy of one's business letter went to, as well as the originally intended recipient. It could also mean that a copy was made for the files of one's business prior to being sent out.
"Bcc" stands for "blind carbon copy". A blind carbon copy means that copies are sent to other recipients, without their names or addresses being divulged. As an etiquette professional, I prefer that emails sent out en masse to my personal email address, be sent out using "Bcc" I do not wish to have the email addresses of hundreds of people I do not know, nor do I wish for them to have mine.

BCC is another type of email copy. It stands for "blind carbon copy." Typically, BCC is used when sending emails to large groups of people. When someone is BCCed, they can read the email, but not respond to all.

Bcc is Blind Carbon Copy, where someone other than the recipient is being copied in on the email but the other recipients will not be notified that the Bcc'd person is seeing the email
