It looks a little like a giant violin. Take a look at the Related Link below for photos and information. Yea it pretty much looks like a giant violin. Except it is fatter, it has an ajustable spike at the bottom of it to hold it up to your height. The bow is also shorter but stockier.
Bass/ double bass
A cello looks like a large violin. It is usually a deep brown or red, but also can be a light orange. The bow of a cello is a long narrow stick of wood, which is fastened to the the horse hairs which you move across the cello's strings to make a sound. The cello has a long neck and is played with you knees bent so they are visible on either side of the cello. Cellos make amazingly beautiful sounds, and are quiet beautiful them selfs! =)

A cello and a double bass are both larger than violins. The double bass would be considered a giant violin.
The versatility, the smooth sound, the expressiveness, and it looks pretty cool too.

A cello is just like a violin except the fact that it has lower notes. It only is bigger
Sounds like a bass to me, not a cello? I could be wrong...
Hmmm... I wouldn't bother. Making a string instrument is actually much more precise and difficult than it looks. Best left to the experts. You can buy a cello for cheap.
There is not an answer to this question because both boys and girls like cello. I am a girl who likes the cello but quite a few don't. Most probably like instruments like saxophone, guitar, keyboard etc. But I'm guessing this is to do with fancying so possibly it depends on what the girls personality but if you only want to play the cello to attract her or them then don't becuase you might not like it and you shouldn't do something you don't want to do.
It really depends on what you're preference is, what you're playing, and where you're playing. If you prefer the electric cello, go ahead. If you like the regular wooden cello, it's fine. If you're playing rock, I suggest the electric cello. If you play more classy-jazzy style, go with the regular cello. If you are playing solo on stage, go with what you prefer. If you are in an orchestra, go with the original cello.
Well, it's a bit like asking how an acoustic guitar is different to an electric one.An electric cello is shaped very differently to an acoustic one; it looks kind of a stick with strings and knee rests, if you can picture that. And, of course, it plugs into an amplifier, so the sound is a lot louder. This makes it good for bands and large music groups, because in situations like thee acoustic cellos tend to get drowned out. I'm told an electric cello is more difficult to play than an acoustic one.Oh, and electric cellos only come in full size.
