02 Maxima P1147 is the code thrown when a problem occurs with either an O2 Sensor or its electrical harness. By far the most common is a sensor failure. It's generally a good idea to replace all of the O2 sensors at around 60K miles or when the first one fails. There are two sensors on the exhaust manifold near the engine block and two after the first catalytic convertor. The first two are accessible from under the hood while the second two you get to from beneath the car. The O2 sensor helps the vehicle to control the fuel to air mixture (lean or rich) and a malfunctioning sensor can cause poor power, emissions, and fuel economy.
