collegiate institute is a name used by the tdsb especially in scarborough for highschools. if you were also wondering a secondary school, highschool and collegiate institute are all the same there is no difference except a collegiate institute and secondry school may offer more cources than a highschool. For example I myself go to Albert Campbell Collegiate Institute, my dad taught at Earl Haig Secondary School and my cousin grauated from Sir William osler Highschool last year.
