In electrical/electronics, a connector is a plug or socket. They range from a single pin to many hundreds of pins, capable of carrying many hundred amps to a few milliamps.

Assuming you mean you have coaxial cable, there is a small center wire in a coaxial cable that should protrude slightly beyond the screw on part. Carefully stick the center wire into the center connector on the female connector, then turning in a clockwise direction, screw on the outer connector until finger tight. The center wire tends to bend over and will not work this way. It must be straight and not touch the other part of the connector. This is sometimes a PUSH ON connector but it is a poor connector.
LC stands for Lucent Connector. It is a type of small form-factor fiber optic connector used to terminate optical fibers. LC connectors are popular in high-density applications due to their compact size and high performance.
A DIN connector has a 5-Pin connector
One difference between an SC and an LC connector is that an LC connecter is smaller in size than an SC connector. Also, an LC connector is considered a latch connector, whereas an SC connector is considered to be a push-pull connector.
In Optic Fiber Connectors,SC Connector stands for "Subscriber Connectoror Standard Connector"ST Connector stands for "Straight Tip Connector"
