Typically measurements are continuous variables so a shoe size is a continuous variable since it can be expanded to be more precise. You can generally say that a person wears a size 8 but 7.9 or 7.934567 is more precise, even though US shoe sizes only come in whole or half sizes, you still can be more and more precise in your foot measurement or actual shoe size.
it is size 4.5. In the United States, a women's size 6.5 is equal to 9.0625". There is no exact match in children's sizes to this, but the closes would be 9", which is what the 4.5 is in kids'. If this is too small, your next best bet would be a size 5, which is slightly bigger than a women's size 6.5 - 9.125".
'D' and/or 'M' is the shoe size width measurement, and indicates a medium or standard width. Sometimes the shoe width size will be indicated with only a 'D' or 'M.' Furthermore, a 'C' width would be narrow width, an 'E' width indicates a wide width, and an 'EE' width would be extra-wide. If you're seeking detailed information on the exact width measurements, measured in inches, there should be some U.S. shoe size width charts available on the internet, found using the keywords, "US shoe size width chart."
yes, men's shoe sizes differ by about one size. a size 12 d today is about the same as a size 11 d from the 1960's. the military was slower to adapt to this change and some of the long time oem providers still made military shoes at size 10.5 or 11 that matched street shoes size 12 late into the 1980's.
