When you brushed them out you pulled out all the loose and damaged hair that was locked. if it is damged for about a week, use hydrating shamppoo and conditioner, and use a leave in conditioner to get it soft and lively again (i did this after i had dyed my hair red multiple times then bleached it and it murdered my hair) also a trim to get the dead ends might help. but then you can dye your hair after its better. just kno that if you don't like your hair black you're going to have to live w/ it until you dye it a different color. Black dye never comes out of your hair.
