First of all there was no such a language as Roman. The Romans were Latins and spoke Latin.

Procter & Gamble have chosen the name Duracell for their battery as a short form for durable cell. Both words are English. In Latin durable is duralibis and cell is cella. A cella (small chamber) was the inner chamber of a temple in classical Greek and Roman architecture or a shop facing the street in a domus, the large detached house of the rich.
