Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the folklore about chupacabras does not claim they are man-eaters. Since it is pretty widely agreed that the chupacabra is only a myth, it would be pretty hard for an imaginary creature to actually eat anything - including people.

∙ 11y agoThey have three tiny deadly sharp fangs in their mouths. they'll puncture the major artery near the throat of their prey and drain it of blood/fluids. Also, they occasionally liquefy and drink internal organs, but never eat the meat. Chupas are famous for doing this to goats, but they also kill cows, chickens, and other livestock. Very rarely will they kill and drink humans' innards, but it is known to happen. They usually attack at night.
