P2112- Throttle actuator control system stuck closed.
The throttle on your vehicle is not controlled by a cable but by a actuator motor in conjunction with a sensor inside the accelerator pedal. This fault indicates there is a problem with the throttle side of the system. The throttle is either binding, slow to respond, completely stuck or has failed. Other possible causes include problems in the wiring (open/short circuit) faulty connection(s), or battery voltage problems could also cause this. I would try checking the connections to the throttle actuator, and if you are up to it carefully clean the throttle to see if you can save it. Good luck!
Any repairs done to the SRS should be done by a professional. It is inherently dangerous to work on this system. Leave this repair to the pros.
Yes but you really should take it by an authorized repair shop
If your check engine light is staying on with the engine running , a malfunction has been detected with the emission control system . Have your Explorer scanned for any trouble codes to diagnose and repair the problem
You surely cannot expect to get an answer? Repair WHAT on the engine? What is wrong with it?You surely cannot expect to get an answer? Repair WHAT on the engine? What is wrong with it?
HeyKen==You need to repair what turned it on in the first place then have auto zone remove the trouble codes. GoodluckJoe
The check engine warning light is you car's computer telling you something is wrong. You need to get it to tell you by flashing it's dash code or with a handheld diagnostic ( normally vehicle specific available at most part stores ). Look in your repair manual to find out how to get the computer code or take it to a mechanic.
It needs to be done by a dealer or an authorised repair agent who will connect their computer to the plug in point and reset the warning message from the computer.
At 60,000 miles. Warning: This is an interferenceengine. If the belt breaks, serious engine damage will occur. Do not neglect this repair or you will pay dearly.
Without proper water circulation through the engine block the engine will rapidly overheat. The first warning will be the water temp gauge or idiot light, and you will start smelling a strange odor coming from the engine compartment. Stop the motor at once ... have it towed to the nearest garage for repair. Further driving without proper water flow will permanently damage the engine beyond repair.
So long as the repossession agents don't enter a closed building or cross a locked gate in order to do it, yes.
Buy a lawn mower engine repair manual at Border's or Barnes & Noble.
By having a professional repair the problem that has set the warning light in the first place.
