well i had to think about this for a while but all of that thinking paid off because i came to the conclusion that indirect characterization is characterizing a character indirectly indirect characterization is characterizing a character by indirect thoughts or actions, and not the author directly telling you what the character is like. The author is not actually saying "Sally is a girl." Instead they might say "Sally's pink frilly dress looked nice today". They are implying that she is a girl.
It is called an awkward construction. Good grammar would either end the sentence with the word these or specify which group of "ones". Look at these or look at these little ones. Look at these or look at these frilly ones. So look at these is the preferred form. Look at these ones. Is not preferred grammar.
