判子 (hanko) is the Japanese word for the signature stamps they can use to sign documents with. If you want to break down the Kanji, 判 (han) is like "stamp/seal" and 子 (ko) would be like "interest" in this case. So at best, you could say the name means "seal of interest", though it's really just a noun, much like the word すし (sushi).
