On its own ich heiße Dich makes no sense and translates as I am called/my name is you. However when used as part of a sentence such as ich heiße Dich willkommen it translates as I welcome you.
I think one can't directly translate that because in English such a construction requires a verb, thinking about it, it isn't a complete sentence in German either as it's lacking a verb, but it's used quite frequently. If X is a verb, it translates to "I X you, too.", for example "'Ich liebe dich.' - 'Ich dich auch.'", which translates to "'I love you.' - 'I love you, too.'".
ich = I
dich = you (used as object)
auch = too, also
Translated into English it becomes "Yes, my name is".Example :- "my name is Joe" becomes "Ich heiße joe".
Wie heißen Sie = What is your name (formal)
"Ich heiße..." means "My Name is..."
Ich heiße du doesn't make sense.
"Du" means "You"
ich heisse means "my name is"
Wie heißt du = what is your name
It means: "How are you"
Wie heisst du? oder Wie heissen Sie? Or: Wie ist Ihr Name?
How do say Emily in German and what it means.....Emigrieren that's how you say Emily and what does means-Emily means in german-from the Roman Family Name Aemilius, Meaning 'Industrious.' Also a Variant of Amelia: from the Old German Amalburga, Meaning Labour and the Latin Aemilia
sie sind wie alt = how old are they Sie sind wie alt = how old are you n.b. the difference is in the capitalisation of the word Sie/sie
Sind sie wie alt? makes no sense whatsoever in German. You could either askWie alt sind sie/Sie = how old are they/yousie/Sie sind wie alt = how old are they/you orthey/you are how old
"Wie alt bist du, wie alt sind Sie?" is "How old are you?" in the German Language.
How old are you? is wie alt sind Sie? in German (formal) or wie alt bist du? (informal)
How old are you? transaltes as Wie alt bist Du? (informal) or Wie alt sind Sie?(formal).
Wie schreiben Sie oder Zauber, is the translation in German. It is translated from English to German. German is mostly spoken in the European countries.
The answer to "Wie heißt sie?" (what is her name?) would be "Sie heißt...." (her name is...)
The correct phrases are :- "wie alt sind Sie" (formal) "wie alt bist du" (informal)
Wie gross bist du if you are talking to someone you know or Wie gross sind Sie if you don't.
"Wie heißt sie?" means "What's her name?" in English. But maybe you meant "Wie heißen Sie?" This is the formal way to address someone we haven't met so far or a person of great respect.
