Except, "Berne" is mis-spelt. "Berne" is the French spelling, "Bern" is the German spelling. As Bern is German-speaking, most people use "Bern" in English as well.

'Ich wohne' means 'I live....', or 'I dwell....' (not I am alive) and would be followed by a place, like 'Ich wohne in Berlin' which means 'I live in Berlin'.
I live in Ohio = Ich wohne in Ohio.
(I) live in England = ich wohne in England
Ich bin der Mond translates as I am the Moon.
Ich bin in der Schule translates as I am in (the) school.
