This is typical of an anxiety dream. The element representing Jesus in your dream is effectively your psyche. The element representing the threat of the devil appearing is an external force or forces that are influencing you in your waking life.
It is similar to dreaming you're being chased by a vicious creature.
Being overtaken & caught by the creature (or in this case, the devil actually appearing) is symptomatic of your subconscious feelings of being overwhelmed by physical, mental or emotional situations that affect you in your daily life.
You may also experience feelings of insecurity or inadequacy in one or more aspect/s of your life... you may not feel up to a particular challenge, or it may be daunting to you.
Peer pressure is often a common factor; you may feel an undying need to fit in with others. Work (or education) related stress could also be to blame.
Alternatively, if you are very religious or confused about your spirituality, this may simply be a construct based on thoughts or experiences that are fresh in your mind or that you've been dwelling on.
Literally speaking, the dream is highly unlikely to be an actual foretelling of anything, owing to the fact that many have reported similar dreams in the past and the devil didn't arrive!
