It can mean several different things. Since you put the category as teen dating I'm going to assume you guys are teens but these could apply to anyone.
1. It may mean he wants to take the relationship to the next level.
2. Maybe he wants to put a face to names kind of thing. Introduce himself, make sure your parents know who he is.
3. He might want the excuse to hang out with you more personally. Getting to know more about you and your family, your personal life.
Tip: Especially when introducing him to your father, go out of your way to introduce the two. If your boy has seen him before but hasn't introduced himself, you make the move. Say "Dad this is (insert your bf's name), (bf) this is my dad".

∙ 9y agoIt could mean a number of things such as him wanting to be serious about the relationship and take the next time, he obviously feels that you two are deep in the relationship that he believes it's time to take the next time of the relationship. It could also mean that he wants something more such as taking the next steps to mean more to your life. Whether or not you're ready is completely up to you and solely you, you're going to have to ask the question on whether or not you two should continue this path and do you feel ready, and sure enough that he's both the one that should meet your parents now followed by does your relationship mean enough for this to happen.
