this could be a mild case of bells pallsy this occurs when the nerve running through ear cannal swells and gets damaged in the worst case it would feel like one side of your face is under a dental anasthetic, all the muscles become paralysed on that side most people recover fully from this quite quickly however a small percentage only get partcial recovery
