For me personally it's for fun, every time i sleep i tend to have dreams. some time choppy scenes or even continues. Some time black and white or some other colors. dreams interpret your inner thoughts and what you've been thinking for a whole day or even months. what you fear or what you like. It can be some media to even give you signals about what will happened in the future or what you've done in the past. I once dreamed something terrible about a person that close to me, she deceive me in my dream and it happen in weeks latter, she badmouthed me on my back. But other than that, when you can recall your dreams it actually can brings you a new idea. Designs, novel, etc.
