Ulysses is a medival character known as Ulysses Pendragon the king before Authur from the round table and as far as I know he doesn't have anything to do with greek mythology

Ulyses is a ROMAN hero, the equivalent of Odysseus in Greece.

As a matter of fact, Odysseus and Ulysses are the same guy: Odysseus is his name in the original Greek, Ulysses the rendering in Latin and English.

Ulysses is a hero in Greek mythology. He was fought in the Trojan War, but because they forgot to thank the gods for their victory, their trip home was fraught with peril. From having to sail through the Sirens, to being held captive by the Cyclops Polyphemus, the trip was full of dangerous obstacles.
