It is called color blindness but this is a very difficult and hard to explain disorder because of the different causes and to further confuse things some causes are cone defects and some are rod defects:

Congenital

1 Monochromacy - total colorblindness

2 Dichromacy- two of the three colors are seen

3 Anomalous trichromacy -one of the three is not lost but altered

Clinic appearance:

1 Total color blindness

2 Red-green color blindness (both Dichromacy and Anomalous)

3 Blue-yellow color blindness (both D and A)
