Noble gases have completely filled orbitals / energy levels. They generally have 8 valence electrons (helium has only 2) and have stable electronic configuration. Hence they are chemically inert and generally donot form compounds under normal conditions.

Describing a noble gas as inert means that it is chemically non-reactive or unreactive. Noble gases have a full set of valence electrons, making them stable and unlikely to form chemical bonds with other elements. This characteristic makes them useful in various applications, such as providing an inert atmosphere in light bulbs or as a shielding gas in welding.

Are inert gases and royal gases the same?

'Royal gas' is not a term used in chemistry. Perhaps you mean "noble gas", if so yes "inert gas" and "noble gas" often mean the same thing. However, oxides and fluorides of some of the "noble gasses " do exist, it might be best to think of them as "noble" rather than "inert". Xe, forms oxides.

What does noble mean in noble gasses?

Noble means complete. They have complete outermost energy levels. They are unlikely to react.

Do noble gases have a full octet of electrons?

If by octect you mean the outermost shell, then yes.. that's why they're noble gasses (inert)

What is helime?

Do you mean helium? An inert ("noble") gas, atomic number 2. An alpha particle (as in radioactivity) is a helium nucleus.

What does the term noble mean in noble metals and noble gases?

There are no "noble metals". The "noble" connotation for "noble gas" is that in society, the "noble" people don't interact with the average people. "Noble" or inert gases do not take part in any regular chemical reactions. The individual atoms don't form elements or compounds.

Does inert mean the same as reactive?

No, they're antonyms. Inert- not moving Reactive- quick to react

Inert gas used?

argon -------------------------------------------- Any of the elements in column 18 of the Periodic Table, plus gasses made form some compounds (eg CO2) and some nonreactive gases such as Nitrogen could be considered as inert.
