This dream seems to reproduce a common image used in fantasy and Science Fiction. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" comes to mind, but similar flaming circles have been used in many films in many different ways. In folklore as well as many ancestral traditions, "casting a circle" is a representation of spiritual protection; all within the circle are shielded from negative and harmful forces outside the circle. Fire represents the Spirit, so a ring of fire symbolizes powerful Spiritual protection.
