If the family member is your mother, it could just be her desire to be a grandmother coming out in her dreams. Telling you about it is a not so subtle attempt to influence you into at least "thinking about it".
If the dreamer is not your mother, it could simply be a manifestation or their desire to see you "settled down". This desire could stem from a true concern - are you leading a "wild" life or doing things they do not approve of? Or from a bit of envy on their part - are they married with children while you are free and living an interesting and challenging (glamorous) life?
If this is not the motivation it could be the sign of a change, a new beginning or a new responsibility coming into your life. Babies & pregnancy are not usually interpreted literally in dreams.
