Genotype is the genetic make-up or the genetic constitution of an organism. It's the particular combination of alleles an organism possesses. The combination can be heterozygous or homozygous. Heterozygous is where there are two different alleles on the corresponding chromosomal loci. It is usually represented by a big case letter and a small case letter (Tt, tT, pP...)--- indicating that there is one recessive gene and one dominant gene. Homozygous (TT, tt, pp,PP), on the other hand, is where both alleles are the same. The two corresponding chromosomal loci either both have the dominant gene or the recessive gene.

Hope that helped.

They dont have anything else for a trait that is either carried or another trait. Say if you had blue eyes and everyone in your family (especially your parents) had blue eyes you would be homozygous. If your dad had green eyes and you and your mom had blue eyes you would be blue eyes but you would be a carrier of green eyes so your offspring could possible have green eyes.

It means that in it's genotype, it has different genes. For example this would be a heterozygous: Bb, Gg, Hh, Tt. A Homozygous is the exact opposite. For example: HH, hh, BB, bb, KK, kk.
