Jesus is not crying for his own sake, however, he is crying because of a world filled with sin. Though his sacrifice has paved a way of redemption, he knows that many will turn their backs on him and his Father and thus be condemned to an eternity with out God.

Another example, when Jesus was called to the tomb of Lazarus and was speaking with Mary and her sister, he asked the men to roll away the stone, when one spoke and stated Lazarus has been dead, I believe it was 7 days, surely he stinks by now. Shortly after this the simple and shortest verse in The Bible occurs, Jesus Wept. Jesus did not weep for Lazarus, nor did he weep because Lazarus was dead, he wept because of the lack of faith those around him had.
