If you mean a inertia switch that shuts off the fuel pump in case of a wreck or something, No. The computer shuts it off if the engine is not running.

it means that it shuts off and won't start It could also mean that the battery is dead and needs to be recharged. Or more seriously the timing belt has snapped. Spark plug could be malfunctioning as well...there are many possibilities.

Could be as simple as a plugged fuel filter.
The electronics shuts off the current to the coil and injectors are usually under pressure so when there is no current in the coil the force of back pressure shuts the injector. -_- max
