It means that she still wants to be with you but just needs time and space, it depends if you love her though .... it could be that she wants payback if you left her because she lobed you and cant cope with it or it could be that she still loves you and regrets leaving you but she is too scared to say it because she thinks that you don't love her. I would tell her and then see what she means (:
