I had the same problem on my 96 GT..ETS has to do with emissions, maybe a O2 sensor..I was ready to change the TPS, EGR and Idle Air Control...Turns out, the Fuel Pressure Regulator was leaking and causing hesitation. I replaced it and it runs fine. I also recommend maybe using a can of Seafoam in your tank. Ive talked to alot of mechanics and they swear by it. on my sunfire GT (98) this usually in my case either the car is too hot and its loosing horsepower, or that you need to get an engine diagnostic test at a local advance auto parts, or a auto zone, where they are free to get
