First I'm going to hazard a guess that dinner the night before the dream was way too plentiful, way too spicy, or on the verge of spoiling. If any of these is true, it casts some doubt on the meaning of any interpretation.
It would be good to know the thoughts and feelings you were having during the dream. Short of that, it is a growing up dream, typical of dreams adolescents might have. And if you are well into adulthood that is no insult. We work out lots of things in our dreams over the entire life course.
The sense is that you are passionate about your family and friends, perhaps to the point of being over the top. You value what they have, and what they bring to your relationships with them. At the same time there are struggles on your part to actually grasp what your loved ones are contributing to your life. You know it's there, you know it's wonderful, but it is sometimes a drag trying to figure out what it actually is. It is possible that you experience some confusion, guilt or even jealousy over being unsure of these things. It all sounds perfectly healthy and normal to me. Please check the comments.
