It could be a fear thing. You could be either consciously or unconsciously be afraid of that happening in real life, and if your brain is focused on that a lot, it may reflect into your dreams. It doesnt necessarily mean anything.

The subconscious mind brings an image of that person into a dream as a way of bringing back that loved one. But the dreamer then pushes that person away, acknowledging that death has occurred. As time passes and the dreamer moves forward through the grief process, these dreams will become less conflicted and more peaceful.
