The dream is work related, whether or not you actually sit at a desk at work. It might refer to you looking for a job, wanting to change jobs or approaching retirement. It also makes a difference how you felt during the dream. Anxious feelings could reflect insecurity at your job or a nudge from your conscience that you need to apply yourself more seriously. Alternatively, you might be spending too much of your time and energy at the desk; again, the emotions experienced in the dream determine its meaning.
This dream could be work related, since so many jobs, including the "job" of going to school, involve sitting at a desk. Consider your situation, whether you are looking for a job, wanting to change jobs or approaching retirement. Also consider how you felt during the dream, as your mind could be showing you specific emotions about your work (or studies) that you have not admitted to yourself.

To have an ergonomic desk means that the desk is fitted to the user. It is not meant to mean the material that a desk is made of but rather how the desk is set up for each individual user. From my research it looks like any type of desk that can be adjusted can be used and set ergonomically.
