Often in dreams, you are all of the characters--or more than one of them. My guess would be that you feel someone is taking the inner child in you. Maybe all of the adult demands of your life are keeping you from having the fun you used to have. You might want to take the time to have a little fun with your friends--or embrace your inner child with your own child--go roller skating, bike riding, to a water park, play kick ball, or whatever kidlike activity you once enjoyed.

∙ 12y agoFirst, it should be noted that dreams are not real; they reflect our wishes, hopes, and fears, but they do not always make perfect sense. For example, in real life, you may not even have a wife, yet in your dream, there she is.
If you do have a wife and you are dreaming she was kidnapped, it could reflect very real fears that you might lose her and be powerless to do anything about it. Or you might be afraid you won't be able to protect her during a crisis.
If you don't have a wife, the dream could still represent your fear of having someone you love disappear, your fear of being unable to protect someone you care about, or your fear of an unexpected crisis that you don't know how to resolve. The good news is it's just a dream, and an opportunity to work out your fears or uncertainties without anything bad happening. And no, there is no evidence that having a dream about something means it is going to really happen.
