There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc. On rare occasions you can encounter a false positive due to improper testing, expired pregnancy tests, rare medical conditions such as certain types of cancer, evaporation lines or a chemical pregnancy. To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.
You probably are not pregnant (although rare, some HPT are known to give false pos.) but I would go to the doc and get a blood test done to make sure. It could also mean an ectopic preganacy - so, very important that you have a chat with your doctor.
Usually these test are only accurate for a short time after they have been done and can show false positives if left. On the other hand, there is a slight chance that the hCG level was so low that it didn't show up for a while. Redoing with a fresh test is really the only way to be sure.

it means that you're pregnant. there could've been a problem with the test, so take another just in case. but don't let that mislead you-i got my period a little after the condom broke, and thought since i got my period, i wasn't pregnant. but turns out, a few weeks later i was throwing up and pregnant.
This could mean only two things , one the urine sample got mixed up in the lab, or the test was not done properly.
First morning urine contains the most hormones as it has sat in your body the longest.Test again with first mornings urine.
Take a blood test at a clinic to be sure.

If he doesn't smoke MJ then you need to focus more on the cause of the false-positive result, not the length of time, which is about three months.
You're late, and you're testing positive. Assuming you've had sex you're quite probably pregnant.
As you have got your period , the chances of being pregnant are less. I suggest that you wait for the period next month to confirm it for once and for all.
If your period came on and a string came out this is not good. You could have something very wrong.
You are most probably not pregnant. even though you may have been.
