What does it mean when you have dreams about a light and dark world and think the devil is trying to take you to a dark place or hell?

This usually means that part of your unconscious is trying to confront, or engage with, very deep-seated and profound terrors or anxieties that you have, which you are too afraid to face up to as yet.

These fears could arise from unconscious perceptions or feelings that you have about an aspect of your present life, that are normally completely out of awareness- at a conscious level, you may feel alright about something that's going on in your life at the moment, but deep down it's quite another story, and dreams are the only way that your unconscious mind are able to raise your awareness that all is not as it should be. Or, the fears could arise from early traumas that go way back to early childhood- they may have been waiting to be dealt with for many years, but something recently may have stirred them up in such a way that they are making themselves known now.

But however old they are, part of you is aware that they need to be addressed, but another part is too afraid to do that yet, or doesn't feel strong enough. You can see the 'light world' there, and know that it's where you belong, but some negative or destructive influence is pulling you away from it to the opposite, 'dark' world.
