For groundhog's day, you typically see shadows when the sun hits against your back and then the shadow shows up. I'm not sure how on Groundhog's Day a groundhog sees his shadow. I guess if it does see it, it does!
The thing that causes you to see a shadow is the sun's light "hits" your opposite side, causing a silhouette to form, because the light can't get past you. This makes a dark spot, and also the shadow (dark spot,) is also formed by just about the same way nighttime comes, but instead, you are the Earthblocking the sun.
It means that an object obstructs light ray and light cannot reach the part that is covered by object eg: ball. We see black patch, this is called shadow
We see shadows when an object is blocking light. The shadow isformed because light can get around it, so you just see the outline.
Shadows are 2D because you cannot see the depth of a shadow.
They do, and that is how you see them.
Yes there are some places eith no shadows like at night, you cant see a shadow at night can you? see
The more light that is cast, the greater opportunity for shadows to be created.
Aeroplanes DO cast shadows on earth, I have seen many. They are usually easier to see from the air.

Because they create shadows
sometimes it depends on the light.
Yes they can
They went out to draw their shadows because they can see their shadow when the sun is shinning above them.
