Well, it usually means that he feels like he made a mistake in ending the relationship with you and that he would like a second chance. If you really enjoyed the relationship and he ended it suddenly, or you were facing a bit of trouble down the lane, I would suggest seriously thinking about not rekindling the flame. But if you both just needed some time off, and now he wishes to get back together, I say that you may want to consider getting back together. Remember the breakup scene, and let that be the most important factor that decides whether you get back into this relationship with him.
