Well, seeing as I actually am in a similar situation, kinda, I'll answer the obvious.
Even though it does depend on what terms you left on, how long or intense the relationship was, etc, but it just means that he does not respect you enough to give you your space. You are seeing someone else, and its making it hard to focus on this new connection when you are being bombarded by missed calls.
Don't answer. And if he starts showing up at your job, house etc, unwanted, don't hesitate to put out a restraining order. You need your piece of mind, and will contact him on YOUR OWN TERMS, not his.
You may have feelings for him, you may not be over him, but that's up to you to figure out when you feel things come together for you, not for him.
