Your obviously not ready for a relationship at this time with her but you can still love someone even if you are not with them exclusively. You may love her and respect her as a very close friend.

One thing it could mean is that she loves you but is over the "honeymoon phase" or it's starting to get boring so she's going to try to break it to you sweetly. Another thing it could mean is that she likes another guy and is starting to like him more than you. All you can do in a situation like this is say ok and hug her goodbye.

∙ 17y agoIf you are both fairly young, then she feels there are so many things she wants to do (it doesn't always mean she wants to date other men) but perhaps travel, further her education and experience life. She probably does still love you, but, she's being honest with you and she needs to get these feelings of hers out of her system and she's a smart girl for doing it. Love should be about commitment and eventually getting engaged and married, and she's not ready for that yet and probably you aren't either. You just never know, somewhere in the future both of you could get back together again. Stranger Things have happened. Good luck Marcy
