The nicest are teddy bear hamsters , but when dwarfs bite you can't feel it !LOL I know because I have a teddy bear hamster ( it only bit me once.... but it still nibbles) and my sister had a dwarf hamster when it bit me it TICKLED but dwarf hamsters don't live long ...... hope this helps .. :) you need bedding, a hamster cage , food bowl, water bottle/bowl, wheel, hamster ball ( clear ) , hamster food, water, hamster treats, hamster toys, gnaw sticks / salt licks, hamster bed fluff, hamster igloo ( only if you don't have a sleeping section in the cage)........ hope this helps..... :) hamsters like lettuce and carrots, and when they are babies rub their ears until they fall asleep in your hands . you can get the hamsters and the items at PetCo, and Pet Supplies Plus. you can get the items at Petsmart. Make sure you buy one that looks healthy and is young! I prefer getting EVERY THING at Pet Supplies Plus because you can see the hamsters ! And mostly the other pet stores have the igloos backwards so you can't see the hamsters..... I would go hamster shopping at night because they are nocturnal HOPE THIS HELPS...... :)
