Kohl's start there workers at Minimum wage which is different in some states but, if you have experience in the similar field of work then they might give you a 25 cent extra. It doesn't matter what you do,you can be an floor associate or cashier/POS or even customer service. You will get paid the same pay of minimum wage. The only way you can get paid $9-$10 or more an hour is if you been there for years talking about 8-10 years. You only get one raise which is in a one year time period. The most i heard was about 28 cents the least was about 5 cents. Unless you get a promotion(s) in a small time period. If you want to be a starter and get paid more then minimum wage you will probably have to work over night. Overall you can make extra money opening credits for people convincing them to open a kohl's charge. Which is about 50 cents and if it's a special event going maybe a $1. Also this is retail and your hours will be cut down to nothing to no hours sometimes. (serious) maybe 4 hours. So when its busy its busy when its slow it is very slow. Which means not that much money. Less money means not that many hours or none. No hours means cant pay bills . That means get a new job or a second one. Overall Kohl's is more a retirement job or just a first job but in the end if you want to make it to the "top" you have to be a manager or supervisor of some sort.
