Lactose is also called "milk sugar" because it comes from milk. Think LACTose, like in lactate, lactation, etc.
its an operon required for the transport and metabolism of lactose.
the name for milk sugar is lactose. The ose ending indicates that it is a sugar, like fructose (fruit sugar) or glucose (blood sugar).
Lactose is a sugar like glucose or fructose and so cannot be denatured as can enzymes, which are proteins. However, if you heat lactose long enough it will caramelize (oxidize), like the sugar in sweetened condensed milk does when super heated.Heating lactose-free milk does denature the enzyme it contains to digest lactose, lactase, and inhibit it from working further.
Powdered milk does contain lactose. It is a sugar found in milk and other products. However, there are powdered milk products on the market that are lactose-free. You need to look at the product label to make sure it does not have this ingredient.

Im lactose intolerant but I suppose over 4 years? Not sure but Ive been like this for like 3 and a half years? And when your lactose intolerant, you cannot have any dairy product but lactose milk can cure sooner. And probably a few years later you don't feel like not having cheese anymore. So you eat it. And you might get sick a little but its alright. I lose weight almost everyday while being lactose intolerant (Sometimes) But since Im lactose intolerant I started to learn more about it since Im going through it!
Cola is lactose free it has no lactose it has glucose in it !
Lactose intolerant people have lactase deficiency, which is an enzyme, so they should reduce the consumption of lactose containing food products like milk etc., however they can take foods prepared from milk like curd as lactose is converted to lactic acid, paneer cheese etc
