"Moment" in this sense is used in the same sense as the word "momentum." When someone says something is of "no moment," they mean that the thing has no force, or no ability to change anything.
It means that the product of the amount of separated charges, times the distance between the charges, in whatever units were selected, is that much.
"Magick is the Science of understanding oneself and one's conditions. It is the Art of applying that understanding in action" ~ Aleister Crowley. The earth, and everything around us is made up of particles of energy, all vibrating at different frequencies - those that vibrate relatively slowly… mass together and form solid objects which we can all see and touch, these take different forms of course, such as the living body, or water for example, both very different but each made up of exactly the same thing..energy. Now those particles which vibrate at higher frequencies are not visible to the human eye, but they are there, think of air for example. The fact that everything is made of those same particles, means that it is connected, and can be influenced - just like when the brain sends a signal to a limb to make it move; both are part of the same body although appearing to be in two different areas.. and an action in one results in a reaction in the other. This action and reaction is central in Magick. Performing a ritual or spell, or simply thinking of what it is that you need, is an action (thoughts are things!), and actions result in reactions. The trick with Magick is in learning first to attune (tune into) that connection present in the universe, and then to guide yourself within it so that you can recognise and take advantage of opportunities. This is just the tip of the iceberg where Magick and how it works is concerned. My door is always open if you need further information. If on the other hand you meant stage Magic.... well, that's another story! â¢He asked what is magic. Given that the spelling is M A G I C ,this magic you're talking about is the art of sleight of hand techniques, there's a saying in this art which is the hand is faster than the eyes, this kind of art is purely for entertainment purposes. ** The question was posted in Magic & Illusions, and in Paganism.. he got two answers for the price of one! :) ( Full Answer )
Stereotypically, blonds are considered stupid or air-headed. To have a blond moment is to have a moment when you make a stupid mistake or your brain stops working for a minute. You act like an airhead.

The phrase is based on the "concept" of the moment at which you decide to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but it has a secular meaning. A "come to Jesus moment" refers to a dawning, epiphany or agreement following a disagreement. It refers to when the light blub comes on and you underst…and something or make a critical decision. A "moment" is a measure of how far a physical variable acts from some axis, R. For example; a water wheel is placed in a river so the force of the moving water hits the blades on the rim of the wheel and rotates it about its axis. The water force F acts near the rim . The moment of force is the forc…e F multiplied by its distance from the axis R; Moment of force = FR. This is given the name "torque". When something of mass M moves in a circle with velocity v its momentum is P = Mv and its moment of momentum is PR = MvR. This is given the name "angular momentum". Now if you multiply the mass times R you would logically call MR the moment of mass. But MR doesn't have any particular use in science so its seldom ever calculated. On the other hand the moment of the moment (called the second moment) of mass; MRR or MR^2 is a useful calculation and it is called "moment of inertia". ( Full Answer )
the story is told by a witness who is looking at the buck(deer) he sees him scared and the deer is scared because the wolves are chasing him. then the witness sees the hunter chasing the wolves. we do not know what happened after that because the witness(person telling the story) couldn't see anymor…e. then the witness tells us how beautiful the race of life and death is. The moment of inertia is a tensor relating the angular velocity to the energy in angular motion and the angular momentum of a rigid body, and the angular acceleration to the torque. Roughly speaking, it is to angular motion what mass is to linear motion. The formula can be found at http://en.wik…ipedia.org/wiki/Moment_of_inertia . ( Full Answer )

One of the meanings of the word "spur" is "to impose or force an event or action to occur". Thus, the phrase "on the spur of the moment" would mean "to force an event to occur immediately" , as in the following example:. "Having spent hours on his computer, little Jackie realized that he was was…ting his life just sitting there, accomplishing nothing, so, on the spur of the moment , he turned the machine off, and ran outside to find friends to play with.". They say that there's not a lot you can do to change the length of your life, but there is a lot you can do to change its width and depth. Live the moment is one way of saying take full advantage of right now. Take a chance. Dare to raise your heart rate. After all, you only live twice, and the f…irst time's only temporary. If you pay attention to what's going on around you now - "live the moment" - you will enjoy things a lot better than if you spend all your time thinking about the past or worrying about the future. If someone tells you he or she has "too much on at the moment" it probably is a shortened way of saying "too much GOING on at the moment". If it's in the context of explaining a personal tendency towards avoiding a person that they've been "going with", it's usually a vague way of saying "My attenti…on has too many things distracting it to be able to focus on you now". It is my experience that no matter what someone's living situation is, or job situation is, if there is a person someone's in love with, and still attracted to, time is always available for that person. It only becomes unavailable when there's another person in the picture that is serving as a distraction. It may be temporary or permanent, but odds are, it does not bode well for a relationship if this is getting said. ( Full Answer )
All things (bodies) in the world we perceive as something whole entity. Therefore it exists some internal forces and moments which keep detected rigidity. From this point of view for each external factor it must be presented some internal factor with the opposite direction according III Newton L…aw. For example, external point force provokes internal reaction. The last is reason of Bending Moment (like Force) definition in applied mechanics. The principle is very simple: Action - Opposite Action. ( Full Answer )

in random movement of electrons more may end up on one side of the molecule than the other, creating a temporary negative charge on that side. this is a dipole moment. an induced dipole is a nearby molecule whose electrons are repelled by the negative charge on the dipole, creating a negative charge… on the opposite side (and positive charge on side near dipole).
