In Puerto Rico and some parts of Dominican Republic, "Mami" is the Spanish form for "Mommy" or "Mum"; or it can even mean "grandmother".

"Mami" also has several other meanings surrounding the female gender, for example: "girl", "sweetheart", "sexy girl" or "pretty girl".
