money means green paper to buy stuff
It depends what you mean, there were 13 colonies... if you mean Jamestown, a company called Virginia Co. sent this colony, however Jamestown didn't have leadership until Captain John Smith
Personnel Transportation
Do you mean they had no money and no means of coercion?
This is confusing..... The first official governor of James town is Sir Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr. First qualify what you mean by "Governor" usually a position appointed by the Charter or King.....John Smith was NOT technically a governor from the sources I've seen - they always refer to him as a leader. I have never seen him referrenced as a governor. 1st - George Percy (1909) - but there is nothing that formally appoints him Governor at that time....but he is referred to as president and governor in sources. 2nd - Sir Thomas Gates arrives in 1610 - he is said to be governor by some sources - but nothing official. Finally, Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr arrives with the official commission of governor arrives. I am just as confused as you are - what do they want by the use of Governor? Madmartha Well, I know the first governor of Jamestown, and his name is John Smith. Thanks. Applepie9995
The surname is the name used to identify the members of a family, apart from each member's given name. For example: John Smith- Smith is his surname.
If you mean in Pocahontas, then yes he does. Ratcliffe is trying to shoot Pocahontas/her dad (i don't remember but i think it's her dad) and John Smith jumps in the way and consequently gets shot. Hope that helps.
Et al means "and others" or it can mean "and elsewhere." When used in citing a reference it often means there are multiple authors of the work cited and the citation is for the first author and the others. John Smith, et al would mean John Smith and his coauthors.
Do you mean something like "Drs. John and Martha Smith"?
I am assuming you mean in America right? Jamestown, founded in 1607
Because that's what he wants maybe he wants to be rich
John Smith? Maybe you mean Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith was the first modern prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (commonly called Mormons). He didn't take over from anyone, he was the first. Technically, Joseph Smith took over from the ancient apostle, Simon Peter, who was with Christ in His ministry. This is why it was Peter, along with James and John, appeared to Joseph Smith and who conferred the rights of the Melchizedek Priesthood Keys upon the head of Joseph Smith, because they passed what they then held in their own possession at Joseph's time, upon him.
Tamlyn is the Sidhe (Pronounced "She"), or fairy 'John Smith' and is used when real names are not meant to be said openly.
